All three materials print well, but they behave very differently once the part is in use.
PLA — the default
Precise, affordable and available in many colours. Ideal for décor, gifts, figures and prototypes. It softens around 55 °C, so avoid hot cars and dishwashers.
PETG — tougher
Stronger and more heat-resistant than PLA, with a little flex that stops it snapping. Good for brackets, clips, functional parts and outdoor use.
TPU — flexible
Rubber-like and impact-absorbing. Use it for gaskets, phone cases, grips and bumpers. Fine details print less crisply than in PLA.
Quick rule
